Naeema Muhammad, community organizer with the North Carolina Environmental Justice Network, explains the importance of community organizing against environmental justice. Excluded communities of Lincoln Heights in Halifax County, and the Rogers Eubanks Neighborhood in Orange County.

The second phase of the Inclusion Project focuses on twenty counties in North Carolina with documented histories of exclusion; the third phase will focus on histories and on-the-ground research into particular communities. This research will be posted here as it becomes available.
